A contemporary landscape painting in acrylic on canvas. It depicts the mystical landscape of Ireland. Layer upon layer of paint was applied with brushes, pallet knives and scrapers. I then worked back into the surface to reveal the layers underneath. This gives the painting a wonderful sensuous quality and a sense of history.
